TTeamsApp

Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026

TeamsApp is an app and website that grassroots football clubs use to share fixtures, live scores, squads and news with their parents and players. This policy explains what personal information is involved, why, who it is shared with and your rights. It covers the TeamsApp apps for Android and iPhone (including the Apple Watch app), the club admin website and teamsappclub.co.uk.

Who we are

TeamsApp is run by Callum Fyall, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us about anything in this policy at privacy@teamsappclub.co.uk.

Two kinds of information are handled differently under UK data protection law (UK GDPR):

What we collect

InformationWhy
Your email addressTo create your account and send you a one-time sign-in code.
Your first and last name, if you give themSo club admins can recognise you when you ask to join a team.
The clubs and teams you have asked to join, and whether you were approvedTo show you only the teams you have been approved for, and to let the club manage who can see its information.
A push notification token for your phone or watch, its type (Android or iOS) and the alerts you have turned onTo send kick-off, goal, half-time and full-time alerts for the teams you follow.
For club admins: your admin role and the changes you makeTo let you manage your club and to keep the club's information accurate.
For clubs: subscription and payment records (amounts and dates only - we never handle card details)To run the club's subscription.

Clubs add player information: name, shirt number, position, registration number, photos, and match events such as goals, assists, cards and substitutions. Photos of players in youth teams can only be added once the club has recorded that photo consent has been given. We do not ask for players' dates of birth, addresses or contact details.

We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics tools, and we do not sell personal information.

Our legal basis

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run TeamsApp, each under a contract that requires them to protect the information:

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, it is protected by the UK's approved safeguards, such as the UK-US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Inside the app, a club's information is shown only to that club's admins and the parents and players they have approved. One club cannot see another club's information or members.

If you tap Directions for a match, the address is passed to the maps app you choose (such as Google Maps or Waze), which handles it under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Deleting your account

Email privacy@teamsappclub.co.uk from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We will delete your account, your name, your team memberships and your push tokens within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

Children

TeamsApp accounts are for parents, guardians, adult players and club staff. Children should not create their own account. Information about child players is added by their club, which is responsible for getting the right permissions from parents or guardians.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how it is used, or to receive a copy of it. Contact us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections. Sign-in uses one-time email codes, so there is no password to steal, and each club's information is kept separate from every other club's.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is used, we will tell you in the app.
